Fitting Fast Food Into Your Macros

The biggest hardship is trying to eat healthy while on the go, or trying to eat healthy and balance a social life. You want to go out to eat with friends but you also want to make sure you are hitting your macros for the day…the struggle. Believe it or not, there are healthier options to choose from at fast food places you and I both love to make eating better easier for you. Although, these are definitely not meals you should eat every single day. These are just options I took from each fast food restauraunt, which I consider a healthier option compared to the rest of the menu. Below I will you give you some options you can choose from, from everyones favorite eating joints!

Chik Fil A:

As I looked through Chik Fil A’s menu WOW 1. It all looked so delicious (agonized emoji) and 2. Sadly, very high sodium. You will see throughout my blog sodium is very high in, if not most than all, fast food places.

Grilled Nuggets

Finding healthy options at Taco Bell was a lot more difficult than Chik Fil A, BUT I managed to scrounge up some alternatives.

Subway has a lot of “fit choices” but always remember lunch meat is processed, has extra additives, and has a lot of sodium. Here’s the best choices I found at Subway…

Okay guys, I really tried hard on this one but WOW WOW WOWW is the sodium in everything at McDonalds super high it made my jaw drop. Of course, I still am going to give you the healthiest options but at your own risk. YOU HEARD IT HERE

I was going to do healthy options at Chipotle but I honestly couldn’t bring myself to it. The amount of sodium and cholesterol in just 1 chicken bowl surpassed the recommended daily sodium intake by 2 DAYS PEOPLE…..2 DAYS. I know we all think chipotle is “healthy” because its just meat, condiments, and extra toppings but the amount of sodium and extra additives fast food places put in their food is outrageous.
